CEMS Club Rotterdam Presents
Amsterdam Tech Tour
29th and 30th November, 2018
***Event reserved to CEMS Students***
The wait is finally over! Our Corporate & Alumni Relations Committees present the Amsterdam Tech Tour 2018.
Join us for a two-day tour to the heart of Netherlands and get the opportunity to know more about some awesome tech startups working in all different industries from artificial intelligence to fintech to insurance. We have confirmations from AmberScript, OpenClaims, Optimizely and Adyen. Furthermore, there will be the great opportunity to network with some very interesting CEMS alumni during a dinner and drinks event!
A little more about the startups?
AmberScript is a young startup, working with a self-developed AI speech to text engine. Currently, their engine is being used by thousands of journalists, lawyers, students, scientists and doctors. With their accurate algorithm and web editor, they aspire to make writing redundant by automatically transforming all audios and transcripts into text. (https://www.amberscript.com/en)
Openclaims is an award-winning scale up committed to creating a healthy insurance ecosystem with a win-win situation for all parties. Their digital repair management for insurance companies is an innovative B2B solution where the best customer experience is not an expensive red carpet, but the actual driver for lower costs in car insurance. (https://www.openclaims.com/en/)
Optimizely is the world’s leading experimentation platform, enabling businesses to deliver continuous experimentation and personalization across websites, mobile apps and connected devices. Optimizely enables businesses to experiment deeply into their technology stack and broadly across the entire customer experience. Originating from California they have offices in Amsterdam, Cologne, London, and Sydney. (https://www.optimizely.com/)
Adyen – Surinamese for "Start over again" – focuses on building a modern infrastructure directly connected to card networks and local payment methods across the world, allowing for unified commerce and providing shopper data insights to merchants. Their platform enables merchants to accept payments in a single system, enabling revenue growth online, on mobile devices and at the point of sale. (https://www.adyen.com/)
The Alumni Dinner & Drinks: For Thursday evening, we have planned a dinner at 7:30pm, where all the tech tour participants will meet several CEMS Alumni that are working in Amsterdam. Some of the companies that these Alumni work for are Salesforce, Google, Booking.com, Philips, IBM, Henkel, Housinganywhere, PHP Europe, and Openclaims.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This alumni dinner is not included in the price of the event but will have a separate Facebook event and a separate payment as some restaurant details still need to be clarified. More information will follow soon!
